CCTV Drain Inspections
Camera inspections to investigate drainage problems and identify issues inside pipework.
Guessing at what's wrong inside a drain is expensive. A CCTV drain camera lets us see the inside of the pipe, find the cause of the problem and work out the right fix before any digging or unnecessary work.
Quick2Fix has CCTV drain inspection equipment and uses it to investigate blockages, recurring drainage problems and the condition of pipework across South East Melbourne.
What’s covered
- Locating the cause of blockages
- Investigating recurring drain problems
- Checking for tree root intrusion, cracks, breaks and collapsed sections
- Confirming a drain is clear after jetting
- Pre-purchase and pre-renovation drain condition checks
Drain technology
See the problem. Find the cause. Fix it.
Quick2Fix carries two pieces of equipment that change how drain problems get handled: a CCTV drain inspection camera and a vehicle-mounted high-pressure water jetter.
Not every job needs them, and not every blockage can be jetted. But when a drain keeps blocking or the cause isn’t obvious, looking inside the pipe before deciding on a fix saves guesswork, digging and money.
CCTV drain inspection camera
A camera is fed through the drain so the inside of the pipe can be seen on screen. It shows what is causing a blockage, where it is, and whether the pipe itself is damaged.
- Locate blockages and recurring faults
- Check for tree roots, cracks and collapsed sections
- Confirm the drain is clear after work
High-pressure water jetter
Carried on the vehicle. A focused jet of water cuts through the blockage and scours the pipe wall, rather than just punching a hole through the obstruction.
- Stubborn sewer and stormwater blockages
- Tree roots, grease, sludge and scale
- Maintenance jetting for drains that keep blocking
- 01
Inspect
Where appropriate, a CCTV drain camera is run through the line to see what's actually going on inside the pipe.
- 02
Identify
Tree roots, a broken section, a build-up of grease or scale — the footage shows the cause and where it is.
- 03
Clear
High-pressure water jetting is used where it's the right method, cutting through the blockage and cleaning the pipe wall.
- 04
Confirm
Where appropriate, the drain is re-inspected to verify it's clear and to check the condition of the pipe.
FAQ
Good to know.
Does every blocked drain need a CCTV inspection?
No. Many blockages can be cleared without one. We recommend a camera inspection when a drain keeps blocking, when the cause isn't obvious, or when it's worth confirming the condition of the pipe before deciding on repairs.
