Emergency Plumbing

Urgent plumbing problems — burst pipes, major leaks, overflowing drains and hot water failures.

Some plumbing problems can't wait. A burst pipe, a water leak you can't stop, water coming through a ceiling, a drain overflowing into the house or no hot water in the middle of winter all need prompt attention.

Quick2Fix provides emergency plumbing across South East Melbourne. If you have an urgent problem, calling is the fastest way to reach us.

What’s covered

  • Burst pipes
  • Water leaks and water damage prevention
  • Blocked and overflowing drains
  • Hot water failures
  • Overflowing toilets
  • Urgent plumbing problems in and around the home

Signs it’s time to call

  • Water you can't turn off
  • Sewage or waste water backing up
  • Water coming through a ceiling, wall or floor
  • A hot water unit that has failed or is leaking heavily

While you wait

Four things you can do right now.

  1. 01

    Turn off the water

The mains tap is usually near the front boundary or water meter. Turning it off stops most leaks at the source.

  2. 02

    Isolate the hot water unit

If the hot water unit is leaking, close the cold water inlet valve on the unit to stop the flow.

  3. 03

    Keep clear of waste water

If drains are overflowing, keep people and pets away from the water and avoid using toilets, showers and sinks until it's looked at.

  4. 04

Take a photo if it's safe

A quick photo of the problem helps us understand what we're dealing with before we arrive.

Only do these if it is safe to do so. Never touch electrical switches or appliances while standing in water.
